Don't be that guy that waits till the last day to submit!!  This year will have it's problems and if you wait till the last day you could very well have issues that need to be delt with after the deadline.  There is a good chance this years results will be delayed. The lady at wdfw  that finally fixed my dads issues with his tags told me to please, please, please don't wait.  Don't be that anchor in our system!!!  never could understand why people wait, your name doesn't go to the top of the pile!!   Rant over

What your rant fails to account for is the complicated nature of drawing for multiple family members and group hunting members, both here and out of state.  The out of state issue is the most complicated part.  Most folks don't have enough vacation time to dedicate to a Utah bull hunt and a special bull hunt here in Washington, for example.  So it sure would be nice to know the Utah hunt results (or name your state here) before applying in Washington.  That is just one example I am sure of many of why some folks are forced to wait.
I know I've lost it, let me know if you come across it

Somehow I let you guys convince me......
Since the draws started, I was probably the first in and never drew anything.  This year I did multi elk at the last minute and actually drew.  Was going to do the rest of the draws last minute to test my newest theory, but figured with snafus likely, I should just get them submitted.   :o

Why is it requiring me to submit weapon and location when I want to do points only for Elk and Deer SP?

you have to pick those options for your tags.

:yeah: At least that's how it worked for me.

:yeah:
You've always had to pick your weapon and side of the state(for elk). That's not new.

I don't blame anybody for taking full advantage of rules, like trying to wait for other draws in other states,or hunting deer on both sides of the state. When you take advantage too much you end up having to choose which side of the state your going to hunt like elk. :twocents:

A good friend of mine is at fredmeyer trying to get his elk and deer tags fixed, they came to him in the mail without weapon choices or side of state.  2 days left and I wonder how many guys still haven't bought their stuff, can't wait to get results in August.  :bash:

How can you get a tag that doesn't list method or side of state for elk? Are you sure he didn't just not receive the tags at all? Because that's an option when you purchase a license, you can select your tags at a later date.

He bought his tags a while ago, and didn't pick up his elk and deer tag, bought them on line at home.  He didn't notice back then they had sent him elk and deer tags with no designations of weapon or side.  You think they would have a solution to this by now, he has to go back tomorrow to see the dealer again.
