What a story and congrats. That's a nice goat. Memories for a lifetime.

Congratulations on your goat!!! I am so glad to see that the weather gave you the chance to get a Billy. I know it is hard work just to get up into the goats and even more difficult to get into range.

Here is a zoomed in photo of where the goat was looking from camp. Similar to Josh’s first photo in post 381. I will admit I t appeared to be in a almost impossible spot but we had to try. I’m so glad that we tried, it was totally worth it. When we started the trek Josh said welcome to team “bad idea”. It did kind of feel like a “hold my beer and watch this” kind of thing but it worked.

Goat is white dot on the right side of the grey slide/chute.

Pain is temporary, achieving the goal is worth it.

I didn't say it would be easy, I said it would be worth it.

Awesome, that pic needs to be framed and on the wall right next to the goat!!!

Great job Josh, I too followed along and was worried there for a bit with the weather.  So glad it worked out with a great goat in the end.  Hard earned!

Thank you for all the good words. I'm hoping this will help people(realize what they've gotten themselves into  :chuckle: ) in the future.

I have a few more pics to post because I use this site as a journal for later on. I feel like I posted a lot of pics but I still look back on past hunts I shared photos of here so I'll keep them coming. Hopefully nobody's sick of pictures yet.
I'll get them up here in a bit.

Oh yah. I’m a super brave dude and never gave it a second thought. Child’s play really. Rainier10 on the other hand...pretty sure he tinkled a little bit on the way.  I wasn't going to say anything.

Man I wish you could have been there. Josh can verify how many times I said that. I know it was more times than he said he was gonna shoot that goat and he said that at least six times. You put in all the hard work and I got the bluebird skies. Really wish it would have worked out that you were there instead of me. I was thrilled to be there but felt guilty after all the hardship you endured with weather.
