Original plan: focus on Deer with applications in WY/ID/WA/OR/CO and some OTC elk in Sept/Oct as time permits.

Actual plans: total strike out on deer but drew Washougal ML cow elk (muleyhunter69 got my Norway pass tag I see) and ML elk in Idaho. So, instead of lots of deer hunting with a little elk in between, now it's almost 4 months of elk hunting with some OTC deer thrown in.

3rd week of August- cow elk hunt in Wyoming

1st week of October- Controlled bull elk hunt in Idaho

Modern firearm deer and elk in SW Washington whenever I can fit it in. That's all I know for now. Other hunts in Idaho and/or Wyoming might be possibilities, but as always depends on vacation time and money I have at the time.

I always do enjoy my time with nature. My last couple of trips were with a bad hip and painful. Got the hip fixed last year (and missed hunting altogether). Hopefully, I'll be in great shape by September. I do need some meat in the freezer. It's been too long since I've eaten my last elk.

Archery antelope in August, archery mule deer in September, rifle elk in mid October, rifle mule deer late October, hopefully some late archery mule deer in November, somewhere I hope to find a little time to hunt my extra antlerless deer tag and I may pick up another tag when they release the leftover nonresident tags. All in Idaho.

WA: Peaches muzzy bull tag (Draw Tag) Sept 30th - Oct 8th.
WA: East side trespass deer hunt Oct 20th - 22nd.
ID: Whitetails Nov 24th - 30th
ID: Unit 52 December bull elk hunt (Draw Tag) Dec 4th - 14th.

I'm not much of an elk hunter but I'm going to give these 2 elk hunts my best effort.

First year in a long time (I think 2008) that I won't be going out of state for mule deer.

On the fence of buying an Idaho deer and wolf tag. Would be able to shoot a nice white tail out the office window.

Drew a Palouse buck tag but probably won't have very much time to hunt wa this year.

My Dad and I will be hunting deer (and hopefully antelope - draw results late July) in SE Montana. We can shoot mulie or whitetail bucks. Will buy OTC doe tags too.

I drew a late season Lake Pearrygin tag so will spend my November prowling for a good buck.

I may make a weekend run to the NE corner for elk if I havve time.

November = Eastern Montana mule deer hunt with a few buddies. Hopefully I fill 2 tags and fill the freezer. My wife is getting a little annoyed with the lack of game meet in the house.
