Right. Ford has a light pickup that will tow 32k pounds now. I don't know about the Chevy trucks, but they can't be too far behind.

I thought vehicles over 10k lbs weren't allowed in the left hand lane... and least that's what the nice officer told me!

Just simply pulling a trailer prohibits one from legally being in the left lane.........doesn't even have to be over 10,000 lb.

I've broken that law many times.  Never knew that one until a couple years ago when a WSP officer wrote up my uncle for it.

Quote
WAC 468-510-020

Left lane restrictions.

(1) RCW 46.61.100(3) mandates that no vehicle towing a trailer or no vehicle or combination over 10,000 lb. may use the left lane of limited access roadways having three or more lanes in one direction, and that a high occupancy vehicle (HOV) lane is not considered the left hand lane of a roadway. Within this section, 10,000 lb. means 10,000 lb. gross vehicle weight (G.V.W.).

Somone that needs a bigger truck.

How much does that boat weigh?
15,350lbs (boat only) according to the owner. Not sure how much fuel is in it at that weight.

Could it be a different boat than the one you guys have seen? It looked to be absolutely brand new when up close next to it. :dunno:

 Maybe just had it cleaned.

Shouldn't be a huge deal for that truck and a proper trailer.

That's my buddy Jeff. I'm pretty sure he's headed to Seiku to fish Neah this weekend. His 1 ton Duramax handles that boat fine. It's a fine ride for sure. A couple weeks ago I saw it's twin in dark blue at Westport.

Yeah....He is Salmonator on Ifish and Bloody Decks....You won't see too much of him there though. As far as advice is concerned as to where to fish....I think you'd be better off asking for it rather than giving it to that guy. He's retired and I call him when I want to know where to go.
