White Tail or Muley?
« on: August 07, 2017, 09:00:16 AM »
So this is over in the Bumping unit.  I didn't think there were any whitetail over there, but this guy sure looks like a whitetail to me with his eye guards.  He's been on camera a few times, but it's always coming from the same direction so I don't have a good butt pic (that's what she said).

And if it is a whitetail...he's off limits, right?

That's a white tail, not familiar with the regs in that area.

It looks like a whitetail.  It's hard to say though.  It has pretty large ears. :dunno:

Is this the same buck?  I stole this from your other thread.
This looks like a Muley to me, based off of the face and ears. :twocents:

Doesn't really look like a whitetail face to me. Do you have any better photos of the face, and throat area? Could be a blacktail.

Because I don't see any white on the inside of the upper right rear leg, I think it is a mule deer or blacktail.

Mule

Given the fact that according to WDFW, there aren't any bt on the east side (at least none with an open season), where do the regulations come down on crossbreeds?

Crossbreads arent considered. They would say thats a muley since its on the east side. If it was on the west side they would say bt
