My archery bull from mid September.  Special Thanks to my hunting partner this year, for helping get the bull down after 4 hours of chasing him.  Team effort pays off again!

all nice and a good start on Washington Elk.
"When my bow falls, so shall the world. When me heart ceases to pump blood to my body, it will all come crashing down. As a hunter, we are bound by duty, nay, bound by our very soul to this world. When a hunter dies we feel it, we sense it, and the world trembles with sorrow. When I die, so shall the world, from the shock of loosing such a great part of ones soul." Ezekiel, Okeanos Hunter

Yeah, pretty slim pickings this year.  We were surprised we got 4.

I had a friend that hunted down that way and they said it was really slow for them too.

Dads Colorado bull.  Scouting since I arrived in Colorado paid off.  This is his first bull elk, and something he’s been talking about forever.

Yeah, definitely slow. The hoof rot is definitely taking it's toll on the population.

One was just starting to get it but was still healthy looking.  The other three didn't have any hoof rot.

Grundy, your group is one that I enjoy seeing every year.  Sure, it’s light, but dang you guys pull out all the stops.  Congrats to you!

Miles, what part of CO.  I lived there a few years.  You can PM me if you want.  Thx. Nice bull!
