Viewing Moultrie M-888 Photos on iPhone5s: PLEASE HELP
« on: October 02, 2017, 03:01:11 PM »
I recently purchased a Moultrie M-888 Camera, and an SD Card Reader Adapter for my phone, I was wondering if there is an app that will allow me to view my pictures WITHOUT having to download them to my phone. I've tried quite a few but none have worked, I'm not sure if this has to do with the Moultrie Cameras formatting SD cards to them. Any help is appreciated as I dont have a lot of storage on my phone. Thanks!

I had one. Ended up tossing it in the trash. Allows had to download all the pictures or videos. Then if you had to many pictures or videos it would always kick me out of the screen.  :bash: tossed it and went back to my digital camera. Now if I want to upload them o. My phone I just hook to computer.

I have trouble with using any card reader to read images. I always copy them to my computer or phone (android) first before trying to look at them. I have tried to view them before and have both froze my phone and my pc.  They are fairly small images and copy fast, except when their are thousands of images. Then you just have to be patient, like waiting for xmas morning. :)
So, I just had my Primos game camera stop working on me this week and I was looking at the Moultrie M-888, what do you think of it so far?
Cabelas has them for a decent price.
Thanks and good luck.

Thank you for the input! I tried using my digital camera but the pictures were showing up super zoomed in, so then I ordered the adapter for my phone, and when I download them they are zoomed in, but I have figured out how to format them once downloaded, just don't know if I'll have the memory on my phone to download who knows how many pictures after a 2 month long soak. As for the M-888 @Whobuff, I am SUPER happy with the photo quality, but past that I can'y give too much of a review such as night time photo quality, and that, as I bought it, drove 7 hours, hike in 7 miles, put it on a tree, took a small SD and had it take some pictures, then put in my big SD and left! But, again I am very happy with the photo quality and was happy with the sensor range and angle of view you get! I bought it on sale as well at Cabelas in August, so if it is a good price I'd recommend it! All I can say is I have yet to find a photo viewing solution I'm in love with for while in the woods, and I'm trying to avoid buying their $80 photo viewer, but I might, we will see. Let me know what you end up doing, it's a very compact camera with lots of cool features, so far I have not been one bit disappointed!

For iphone users. download the app called: i-EasyDrive

it allows you to view pictures from your sd card without downloading it. Also, you can save the pics to your phone. Only down side is that you cant save videos.

Awesome thank you! I just tried it out, are using this one for viewing Moultrie photos? When I plug the card reader in, the app doesn't detect it and still takes me to the import page in my photos

What kinds of adapter are you using? I use this...

https://www.amazon.com/Stealth-Cam-IOS-Card-Reader/dp/B01B7V995M/ref=sr_1_22?ie=UTF8&qid=1507232187&sr=8-22&keywords=sd+card+reader+for+iphone

This works for me. I run Moultrie cameras and use this reader. Seems to work just fine.
