The bucks are still out although it doesn't seem like they are rutting.  I was in Hancock last two days, saw a total of 10 does but no bucks with them.  Saw a bunch of fresh rubs.  Had a three point at 30 yards that I should have killed but was a tad too slow and he made it into the brush before I could squeeze one off.  Had a two point yesterday at 100 yards that I rushed the shot and clean missed :dunno:

Over here in Whitman County trying to fill my 2nd deer tag with the Knight Mountaineer.  Hopefully our snow today will encourage deer to move around!

Been out 3 full days now in 139 both days last weekend and yesterday and man has it been slow. Deer movement in the first hour and last hour of daylight has been fair, but during the days I have little to no deer movement.  I've jumped deer and a few good bucks, so they are around, but they have been hunkered down tight during the days.  I have seen next to zero rut activity (I did see one unicorn spike chasing a doe that actually stopped and let him breed).  My best guess is this warm weather (highs have been in the 40's and lows are not really dipping below freezing) has been allowing them to get all the food they need over night.
