This is a great article about finding access to public lands. It goes right along with the article This Land Is No Longer Your Land so could have been posted there but I thought it deserved its own thread.
Check out the discussion in it about corner crossing in MT.

Wow, MT has nearly 2 million acres of public land locked off.  I'm not surprised the corner crossing bill failed, many ranches make tons of money controlling prime public land.  I'm sure glad there are private organizations doing good work here as this will only get worse over time.  That access will be more and more valuable.
