Tested some loads I worked up this weekend, nothing that great, so back to the drawing board.
I tried 190gr ABLR and 200gr ABs using H1000 and 4831

yesterday I picked up a box of 212eldx, RL22 and more H1000.

Anyone have any recommendation on amounts between those three rounds and powders?  I know most folks do not like the ABLRs but I am curious if I can get them to work.  Though, my first choice would be the 200ABs for my hunting round.  But if I can get the 212s to shoot, those will do me just fine.

Was going to start around 73gr rl22 with the 212s and work up
not really sure yet of H1000 and the 212s.

br2 primers but did pick up some cci250s to try

I am shooting a hells canyon speed 300wm with 82 rounds through it.

Not a Berger fan?  If it was me I would work up to load of 77 gr H1000, Fed 215s, 215 Berger Hybrid/Hunter at .010-.040 off - seems proven tho start no higher than 72 as lots vary.

Nothing against them at all.  I have zero experience with them but would be willing to give them a shot if this weekend's shooting doesn't turn up a load I'm looking to achieve.

You should be able to start around 72-73 h1000 with the 212 and work up. Probably get to 76-77. You should be able to get those bullets to 2900 or maybe a bit faster. Start at mag length or 30-40 off. Assuming you are talking 300 win mag ( I didn’t read the whole thread again)

Anyone dropped in a timney trigger?

I've done the aftermarket spring by mcarbo but still not 100% satisfied with feel and break.

I originally put in the mcarbo spring but couldn’t get it below 2 1/2lbs. Also, there was some creep in the trigger. It was random, sometimes it would, sometimes it wouldn’t.

I dropped a timney in it last weekend. Fairly easy process with one caveat - a lot of people are finding an issue with the safety bar contacting the stock with the new trigger and I was no exception. I ended up bending the bar somewhat to bring it closer to the trigger housing and then took the outside of it to a grinder and took material off until it would work the safety without binding up.

With that said, the trigger is at 1.75lbs now and breaks clean every time with no creep. The only thing that sucks is the safety no longer locks the bolt, but I’ll take it.

Roger that
I'm getting the same creep and it really throws off my trigger pull when concentrating.  Guess I'll order the timney and see how it goes.
Thanks for the info.
I might pm you if I need installation advice.

No problem. Feel free to PM me if you need to. I can always go pull the gun from the stock and take pictures if you need them.

Got the timney installed and I am kicking myself for not doing this earlier. Before the timney I did have the MCarbo spring upgrade and the difference, for me, is insane.  This new trigger is amazing.  I did have to mod the stock to fit the safety rod, but that took about 5 minutes.  This is my first experience with a Timney trigger or any aftermarket trigger for any of my guns and it is well worth it.  The feel, creep, break is like the difference of dragging your finger down a gravel covered wasboard dirt road verses running your finger over the oiled up skin of the lady Brazilian fanny laying face down on the beach.
