New gun bills for Washington
« on: January 16, 2018, 08:41:44 AM »
Hey guys, Ive been doing my best to follow the new guns bills being pushed through Washington. I was listening to Lars yesterday and is sounded like Seattle's Gun Grabbers group bused in 5 buses of people to support the new gun bills. So in my eyes its not looking good for us, anyone have any other info on whats going on or the percentage that this thing is going to get through?

I think it depends on how quickly the antis get an initiative up.  Then rural Dems can save face in their districts on some of the bills by not voting or opposing; and they won't suffer too much or any blowback from the urban anti gun zealots in the future.

There was some talk of antis being brought up by bus from Portland. Apparently when you don't work for a living you have time to go to other states to tell them how to live their lives.

That really should be against the law.
No comments about anything from out of staters should be considered.

The news said the guns laws were getting little play.

I don’t think they will go through. I think they will end up on the ballot. :dunno:

:yeah:
There are some gun friendly democrats who would likely vote against some of the bills. Plus if they let the voters decide then they (legislators) can't be the blame for a bad law.

My god , I just read that they are calling a Rossi Circuit Judge a Asault weapon.
They also call it a shogun which is not correct. It is a rifle.

I cannot understand how elected officials get so darn dumb.  :bash:

All,

Went to the Capital this afternoon for the public comment phase of the 5 draconian anti-constitution gun bills.

Now I'm scared.... The orange scarf wearing Left was in force.... and well prepared...... with buses and pizza,... I $hit you not.

Each of their speakers were prepared and read from a script.

Most of our speakers tried to "wing it"  :bdid: ... some did ok,... some didn't.

I feel a MAJOR screwing coming.... hang on folks,... going to be a rough ride.... hope I'm wrong...

Wa = NorCal.  Look south for your future.

Lead ammo ban for hunting by 2022, then background checks for ammo shortly after.

This is not pointed at or meant to criticise you Ghost, I was coming on to post something and your post just provided a good springboard so I jumped.

Does anyone really believe the ultra liberal news media?  Of course they say that, they are part of the Anti movement.  "Little play" means they are not getting you and I (gun owners) interested or paying attention and worked up.  Less fight for them as they buy their way to laws to remove out rights.  Trust me, as has been mentioned above the Antis are WELLLL funded and VERY organized because of it.  They bought 594 passing plain and simple by hiring out of state signature gatherers to lie to get signatures for the initiative and then they flooded all the media outlets with advertising for MONTHS prior to the vote.

I have a feeling some will get thru, a few have already passed out of committee and onto the floor.  At this point, even laws you do not have an issue with need to be opposed as they are just using the "death by 1000 cuts" attack plan.  The sheer number of measures being pushed is significant and some will get thru, then they come back next sessions with another huge list and get a few thru.  Gradual erosion of our rights is the current strategy, and make no mistake their goal IS to get rid of all guns and they know the only way to do that is to chip away.

Now is the time folks, we all need to be writing our representatives with polite letters opposing these new anti-gun bills being proposed.

Thinking WA will not go quietly is your big mistake...  Look at what WA has already done.  Where was the uprising when they shoved I-594 down your throats?   Seemed you rolled right over and took that one?

I-594 was straight out of CA’s playbook in case you are wondering.

Unfortunately, you are very correct.  It seems the current staff of libs are insistent in turning Washington into California.

I think were are going to be screwed on this one.  They will pass and next legislative session will have more.  Going to go the way of California shortly.

idiots in charge.... this has been coming for years with *censored*s in charge... why I have not invested in semi's. Very bad situation to elect a dem driven group to govern.. this will result in many such negative adventures for us in our future.. carbon, guns, taxes, safe cities. Love the area but have a feeling my roots are going to change ...
