Stolen camera!!!
«

Well I’m new to the site and was reading some post. A lot of good stuff. So I thought I would vent to those who would understand (my wife doesn’t 😂). Went check a camera this weekend and it was gone!!!!!!!! Had this camera out for 5 months and not one picture of a person. Then I moved it a little to closer to a road about 50 yards from where it was at and bam it’s gone. What some a holes. Well thanks for reading, just needed some sympathy. First year doing trail cameras and never thought I would get so excited about this stuff!! And so 😤.
Had this buck on the camera. What’s your guys thoughts. Bad genetics or old buck?

Sorry to hear this happen so often. I’ve had one stolen from me, it was in a custom lock box but was poorly secured(my fault). Lesson learned.. lock em up or hang em above reach is the best you can do...

Did you look around? We have had bears rip ours off the tree and take them all the time. Found one in the ferns almost 75 yds from the tree before. Even had a few elk try to rip em off the tree.

Common practice for the members of HW. It's almost to be expected. It sucks, but thievin' cameras is pretty easy I guess. There's been many, many threads on this exact same thing every year. You need a hungry pitbull to guard them.

I have had one ripped off I think I know who did it and I am trying to figure out a way to set them up and catch them. Sorry to hear you lost one too it is really discouraging! Looking at the body I think that is a younger buck

Hear about this stuff all the time. Here's a solution. Let's make pawn shops illegal. You wanna sell something for cash use craigslist and get caught by the guy looking for his stuff.

This is good stuff!!! I think a 6’ pit just before the camera and cover the top lol!! I’m also hoping that’s a young buck. That was on the camera that was gone/stolen. So I will approach the setting of that camera a little different. I think I’m going to search around a little more next time I go back.
