and i know there's some BIG elk in there, but there's a lot more 5-6 points in the 200-250" range like mine. Alan asked me what I was looking for, size wise, and I told him I wanted to go home with an elk!  :chuckle: He gave me the estimated numbers of each inch-category. only a few of the big ones!

Well i know there are other areas in that unit that hold a fair amount of elk. And some nice bulls. They live where there is hardly any trees and seem not to mind it. So i am sure those elk wont go far

There are still some Prescott tags just not the late ones that were there because of the damage they did to the trees. They have already started to disperse, with the slow shrink of the size of the tree farm, seeing elk in places out of the norm. The elk in other parts of the unit are in a little different terrain then the tree farm. They will not just go away but they will not be as concentrated like in the tree farm. It was crazy how many more bulls were in there then cows. The tag my cousin had, the one day I went we saw over 25 elk all bulls and they saw more than that on other days.

I was hoping to see more bulls since its going away. It is no longer a secret when it's on its way out and no late tags offered.

My wife got a nice 326 bull in 2016 was a fun hunt more challenging then you would think  she passed on 6 other bulls before she got this one. Sad to see it go
