Outdoor TV Production Schedule?
« on: February 02, 2018, 10:04:02 AM »
Curious if there's a published list each year by outdoor networks or any well-known brands producing content that reflects where productions will be shot each year?

A list that reflects the network, show, production team, brand, outfitter and proposed air date long before the episode is shot. Any ideas?

I doubt you will find something like that, most of the shows I watch film more than they air and drop the hunts that don't turn out or have equipment problems.  They are all independently produced, so there is no master company that would maintain a list.

You're right about the amount of content produced vs goes to air but anything networks pick up as a production (say, for a new show like Dropped), there's a planning & pitch phase that informs budget, production crews, locations, post, partners, etc.

I agree with the individual brands producing a ton of TV content. They might shoot 30 hunts before selling one to The Outdoor Channel.
