Look up Robby Dennings book, I believe it's called hunting trophy mule deer.

I have read Robby Dennings book, and Cam Haines book as well.  I will look up Mike Eastmans books.  As I was reading Dennings book i really enjoyed it and thought he was a regular hunter just like me, until he said he has only killed a "few" bucks he located with an aircraft.  :dunno:

Robby Denning spends a lot of time and energy chasing bucks in the 180-200" class. He is very detailed from his homework to his scouting and shares it all in his book. The average person wont have that much time to spend scouting and researching. Mike Eastman's material is more of the generic get deep high and glass type read.

I second David Longs book. It is definitely worth adding to the list.

David Long has a new book out. Both of them are great reads.

" In today's instant gratification society, more and more pressure revolves around success and the measurement of one's prowess as a hunter by inches on a score chart or field photos produced on social media. Don't fall into the trap. Hunting is-and always will be- about the hunt, the adventure, the views, and time spent with close friends and family. " Ryan Hatfield

Hunting Open-Country Mule Deer by Dwight Schuh is a great read for both archery and rifle hunters. You can find used copies online (I think it is out of print).
