Yes, I mentioned Subaru on the hunting forum, feel free to start the joke train  :hello:

Original version - You need to reuse your gas door pin ($10.99 shipped)

V2.0 - Gas door pin is part of the lanyard, nothing to reuse ($11.50 shipped)

If you have a Subaru with a broken gas cap tether, you were probably like me and annoyed that the dealer only sold the whole cap and leash. I wasn't annoyed with it enough to buy the whole assembly, so it stayed broken for a few years. Eventually I found I could 3D print in flexible materials and shortly after that the car was whole again.

Talking to other Subaru owners, I found this was pretty common issue. So, having a replacement that's better than the original and cheaper than the dealer turned out to be something other people wanted too. This is the product that finally pushed me to create my business in 2015 so I could start selling my 3D printed items.

The question I get the most is, how's it hold up?
It holds up much better than the OEM version. I used the original version for 582 days before switching to test V2.0. I've had V2.0 on my Subaru since April 2017 with no issues.
For more info, here's a link to some very scientific testing I preformed in my laboratory:

I've also made replacements for other vehicles, if you still have your broken gas cap lanayrd I can usually make a replacement.

I'm happy to answer questions, send me a message if you'd like more info or a custom print.

Trying to remember what my '87 Subaru Standard Hatchback (Yep - not even a GL  :chuckle:) had.

One thing it did have was a BIG sticker on the dash stating "THIS VEHICLE IS EQUIPPED FOR INSTALLATION OF OPTIONAL A/C."   :chuckle: :chuckle:

Thanks for the kind words! This has been a solid seller since I first listed it for sale in 2015, and it's helped me be able to have a stable base to grow from. I'm hopeful someday I'll be able to turn Makerneer into a full time gig.

Calvin, sounds like Subaru was pretty proud of that sticker, but I gotta know, did the "OPTIONAL A/C" ever get installed?!
