Yeah nothing like the those with ALOT of extra cash loading up the raffles super early to give themselves even better odds.  Man I hate what these things have become, just another way for the RICH to cut to the front of the line.  I'll spend my money elsewhere, I wish they would institute a cap on how many raffle tickets a person could buy in each category.  In the end the State just wants the almighty $$$$$$ though.
:yeah:
I prefer an allocation where most folks have an opportunity.  Raise the special permit fee a few dollars and throw all these auction and raffle permits into the regular draw  :dunno:

One solution may be that the tickets get more expensive the more you buy

I always buy a few tickets to keep the dream alive plus the money goes for a worthwhile cause: Buying sex toys and parties for WDFW employees.

Is there a way to see where the raffle and auction tag winners harvested their animals? If they go through one of the units open only to them they aren't really taking a chance away from anyone else.

You guys better watch your words too. One of these years I will flood the raffle and then my feelings will be hurt when I re read these threads lol

They have exclusive areas in many cases.  They also have to manage for potential harvest in other areas. This results in a greater impact to Joe public.  If you go all in, good for you! Don't hate the player just the game.

Assuming you have an eastside elk raffle, it's any weapon and any GMU except a few that are closed here and there. So yes...you could hunt Dayton with a rifle in September if you wanted.

I know the big buyers make me want to buy my share of tickets. Scare tactic that I’m sure works well on most people.

Still got time.  Need to let the bank account build back up.  Seems I'm playing a couple months in advance on the hunting/fishing slot.   Maybe after bear season. :chuckle:

Now that is an awesome idea. First 10 5 bucks, next 10 they go up to 10 bucks, next 10 they go up to 15 bucks, and so forth. Wanna load the draw now big money boys lol Sure but every 10 tickets the price bumps up by 5 bucks.
