Bearpaw Season - Spring 2018
« on: April 07, 2018, 01:16:21 PM »
We started off the youth turkey hunt this morning with Kayla and with Aiden who won the "Free Youth Turkey Hunt". Aiden passed a tom he couldn't get a good shot at and then nailed a nice tom. this is his first hunt ever, one shot, big tom down, nice going Aiden!  :IBCOOL:

We called in some birds but were facing the wrong direction when they came in, Kayla turned but had trouble getting on a tom and right as she pulled the trigger the tom ducked, we all know what happens when a turkey ducks, nontheless it was great fun this morning, the hunt is not over yet. Hopefully we'll have more photos to post soon.

Kayla has State Cup soccer playoff in a spokane, so I asked Dale to help Kayla for me since I have trouble with Only Turkeys and I have big surprises for her and she has NO idea till we got to Dale's house since she thought we are staying at Hotel in a spokane... 😂 It's not easy for me to call one in because I am deaf and she has No idea how it work.
Many Many Thanks to Dale for helping Kayla.
Dale and Kayla found turkeys Sat morning so they sneak around and set up blind by tree and it was wrong direction and Turkey busted Kayla by move her shotgun and only see two heads and both Tom sudden ducked down right before she pull trigger. Missed!
So we meet at Dale house and I took Kayla to spokane by 12:15 for soccer game against Spokane team. Kayla's team won and we went back to Dale house, they went over other place and found three groups so he start to study Turkey group over the other side of hill, he decide to give 50/50 chance and he carry Blind tent up there and set up tent All sudden Kayla heard gobble sound 80 yards over the hill and they quick throw tent up and sit be quiet. 30-45 min later, they heard turkey walk by behind and they don't want to move anything or they would ran or flew away. So Dale get up very slowly and open a small hole and look thur behind and look on left view and saw group at 45 yards. Dale told Kayla get up slowly and move shotgun front to left side and move tripod on left and wait and wait till Jake to get out of way, Kayla whisper to dale can I shoot both Tom? he said go for it so she take a Nice shot at 40 yds 2 birds down w one shot.  So Proud of Kayla 🦃🦃

Thank you Dale so much for taking Kayla out hunting with you. She had great time. Can't wait to cook Organic meat Turkey for dinner this week with Kayla.

I would recommend for any young kids to go with Dale for Youth season Wild turkey. Dale rocks!  🤙🏻

Awesome double!
As long as we have the habitat, we can argue forever about who gets to kill what and when.  No habitat = no game.
