My iphones bieng a piece of junk or I'd post a picture of the exact same set up lol , I shoot kent diamond shot #4 ,  3.5" this year . Last year I used #5 and had to shoot 3 times and smoked him all three times , so this year I'm trying a little bigger shot They pattern well for me with that set up !

Here is my Mossberg 195 bolt action 12ga from the 50's. It was my dads very first gun he got as a gift as a kid and it is a fantastic turkey gun, adjustable choke at the muzzle, 2 round mag and has knocked down every bird in front of it.

Been using an old Benelli Nova for quite a while but just for kicks I have shot Toms the last couple of years with my Goose gun. Benelli M2 with a red dot for fun, works great

Since you brought it up...
Little Pathfinder is hunting turkey for the first time this spring.  He wanted to use his 20 gauge Rossi Trifecta that he uses for grouse and pheasant because it's light and he's used to it.  I wanted him to use his hand-me-down (from his older brother PathfinderJR) 20 gauge pump (H&R Pardner), but he said it's too heavy.
So, we went to the range.  I set him up in a chair on a tripod with his Rossi and loaded a 3 inch turkey load for his patterning target.  You can probably guess what happened... :chuckle:
The first shot knocked him, the chair and the tripod into a big pile (nice pattern though on the target).
After surviving a couple of shots with the pump, he decided the pump was OK after all.  Opening day sealed the deal.  It's now his "Turkey Gun"...
