I am having trouble figuring out the second tag system as well. I have my archery tag and bought an entry into the second deer lottery and would love to get a second archery tag for Orcas Island, however, Orcas shows up three times and I can't figure out why. - It appears each entry for a different hunt type - archery - modern - muzzle, but I can't figure out which is which
 Any ideas?

@throwingsticks
You need to look in the reg book to see what number coincides with archery.

1470 is muzzleloader, 1434 is modern, 1450 is archery.

You need 1450. The system probably won't even let you submit your application for either of the other two.

I'm not sure, but I always thought that you can use modern firearm equipment if it don't overlap with an archery or muzzleload season.
You know your hunt went well when you had a shot that was unethical and you never took it, even if you never got your bull.

NO.  You have to use the weapon listed on your general deer tag.

You would need multi-season to accomplish what you are asking.

So if I buy a left over multi after drawing that tag I could still use a rifle during the 2nd deer hunt I believe? A little confusing

hehe that starts at about 2$/LB standing in the field, before freight and setup :IBCOOL:
Yes. But that's a really expensive doe!
