Muzzleloader Sight Inquiry -
« on: May 16, 2018, 04:30:43 PM »
Hey all recently went out shooting the muzzleloader (Traditions NW Magnum) and the front fiber optic fell out and couldn't locate it. Does anyone know what diameter of fiber optic rod I need to get. Tried google searching and was getting a lot of hits for a wide variety of diameters.

Appreciate the help in advance!

One way is to get some tiny drill bits of known diameter and see which will fit.  I've had a hard time keeping new fiber in an old sight though after the original was lost/broken.

Would you recommend changing it completely then?

If you can find one that is the same height, probably.  I can't seem to find another to match the height of the broken one and it works for my peep so I've just done w/o the fiber for the last couple times I've used it.
