6.5 grendel price?
« on: May 22, 2018, 03:03:28 PM »
Looking for a price on a 6.5 grendel that a guy told me to make any offer on. It was custom built has maybe 2 boxes of shells through it. Odin upper and lower hiper fire trigger, with a hand full of other after market parts. It also has a vortex viper 6.5-20x44 on it. Im not to familiar with AR's and can't seem to get a definent answer searching online. Im wondering if any of you have some thoughts on this?

Odin makes a very accurate 6.5 barrel. Depends on the model of Vortex scope.

What length barrel?

Looking for a coyote gun which i think this would be awesome for that. Also would like to do some long range shooting which these seem like a good round. It's a 20" barrel

It’s a great coyote/ Rockchuck cartridge and in capable hands it serves well as a big game cartridge. We have killed Mule deer with the Grendel at 496, 302, 175 along  with some at point blanks. The factory Hornady  123gr SST is a killer. My younger brother holds the family record with his custom 16” carbine Grendel. A Colockum bull at 411 yards. That bull was killed with a 120gr Nosler Ballistic Tip. Not knowing the exact model of scope. Hard to come up with a cash figure. Might as well play darts in the dark.

If you pick one up, I’ll kick you down some ammo at cost and I’ll cover the shipping. If it’s in stock.

PM me for “Cost” pricing.

:yeah:

I'd throw an offer for $600 out there to see what the response is, maybe $700 if the seller keeps the Vortex. :chuckle:

Well i asked him for the list of what the gun was built out of to price it. He pulled it up on his phone and it was itemized out for each item, total for the gun $1200 plus $440 for scope! The gun was built by his BIL and he said he bought it at cost. Thoughts?

That's impressive! I didn't think 6.5 was suitable for elk. I know shot placement and experience obviously play a roll in that but still, nice!

My Grendel’s gathered dust after I put together a 16” AR10 chambered in 6.5 Creedmoor.
