Witness for the draw
« on: June 04, 2018, 10:28:07 AM »
There has got to be somebody on here that is going to be a witness or knows someone who is that can shed some light on when things are going down

Getting someone to post publicly that they are witnessing the draw would be a bigger feat than figuring out who it actually is. I've been told that they're asked to not talk publicly about it.

" In today's instant gratification society, more and more pressure revolves around success and the measurement of one's prowess as a hunter by inches on a score chart or field photos produced on social media. Don't fall into the trap. Hunting is-and always will be- about the hunt, the adventure, the views, and time spent with close friends and family. " Ryan Hatfield

The draw is around the same time of year every year. As much as I would like it to be earlier, it won't be for the foreseeable future so trying to get a jump start on the exact day, time etc is no longer even on my radar. When it happens, I will go in, see not selected and continue on with my day.

Yep.  It'll happen when it happens.  Losing sleep over it is silly.
It is foolish and wrong to mourn these men.  Rather, we should thank god that such men lived.  -General George S. Patton

Still about 10 days out from it happening I'd guess, no reason to get too excited to see not selected yet, just enjoy another 10 days of dreaming of that tag you'll draw.

Not loosing any sleep just having an exact couple of days to look forward to would be nice. Also it would be nice to be productive at work again.  :chuckle:

The closest you will get to knowing the exact date is in the regs. It says end of June. Anything before that is just a bonus.  :twocents:

This is likely pretty close....back to work!

They do ask that you not talk publicly about it in advance.   ;)

Normally right around my birthday, I’m sure it will be another disappointing birthday.
