Pretty cool.
How many arrows did that bull soak up?

I wondered if anyone would count the arrows in the quiver!  :chuckle:

I hit him through the lungs, he went out to about 30 and stopped, I hit him again a few inches from the 1st arrow, he moved again to about 40 yards, I missed with 3rd arrow, nocked again and sunk a 4th arrow, then I left for 2 hours. He had only gone another 100 yards, we found him quickly when we went back. First arrow would have killed him, but if they are standing I'm shooting!

Nice work.
Regarding the Bighorn, ain't it crazy how the ones we miss are the ones we remember the most vividly!!
At least that's my experience.

You bring up a good point. I am going to keep applying and if selected I just wont hunt. Then there will be one more goat left for some other hunter. Thanks for the idea.

Well since they don't give out hound permits for lions anymore I'm going to consider this an OIL unless things change. Drew this permit back in 2010, went with Dale and Brian Denney from Bearpaw outfitters and ended up killing this 140lb Tom on the 4th day. Almost didn't get to happen because of quota, female had been hit but stayed open for Tom only. Cut tracks early like 2am in the morning after driving all night and at first light let the dogs loose.... they had him treed in about 20 min about a mile up the mtn. Put one arrow in him and he came down hard. What an experience

I have 19 goat points and I give up! Getting too old.

Oh how I wish there was some way I could sweet talk those points out of you

Too bad there is not a way to transfer points for good reason like not being physically able. I would be more than happy to give them to someone who could use them.

I would like to be able to "will" them to one of my kids.
:bdid:
I could think of almost nothing worse for future hunter recruitment.  And to those who say, "I paid for them, they are mine I should be able to do with them as I please"...how do you feel about raffle tickets you purchase that get thrown out after the draw? Do you feel entitled to pick up those "unused" raffle tickets and give them to your kid to put in next years drawing?  Same logic.

Ridiculous analogy, but your dissent is duly noted.
