I usually delete my posts after two days.

I've never claimed to be a house painter or a mechanic...it always amazes me how many people want to claim to be a lawyer.

Not really, just looking to fill some late mornings and afternoons with something other than a meeting.
Fish Lake up by Lake Wenatchee often has good rainbow trout fishing (and perch), but you're looking at a 45-60 minute drive and must pay to fish the dock or rent a boat. For similar drive time you'd be able to get out to Lake Chelan and the surrounding small lakes (Roses, Wapato) as well.

Unfortunately, I'm not aware of any fishing in the immediate vicinity of Wenatchee.

Fishing off the dock (or rent a boat) at Fish Lake.  Bit of a drive from Wenatchee, but nice drive out there, beautiful place, and you'll catch some fish.

Look into the rock island ponds. Believe it’s still open and has trout in all and some bass in others.

Close to town you are either looking at Rock island ponds or the Upper Stemilt/Squilchuck lakes/ponds.  Or, though few do it, you can try your luck for bass and walleye in the Columbia anywhere in town off the loop trail.
As long as we have the habitat, we can argue forever about who gets to kill what and when.  No habitat = no game.
