North Ridge is an easy day hike from what I hear.... lots of good ground near it.

I saw a few elk in there over the weekend while driving through. No big bulls though, just a couple of spikes and forks.

Cam check yesterday I was happy to see the amount of cows that had calfs. The herds look really healthy.  And the FS actually graded a road that I drive often...

And I found some shooter bulls ;)

Went over yesterday and moved two cams to grass is greener area's, left another cam that has been consistently seeing bull's for two months, and was reminded that the 70 road over the top still sucks. :chuckle:

I was hoping not to have to go into hell but a big bull in a easy spot has been avoiding me . all my cams in those spots have had smaller bulls . I guess its time to just bite the bullet and get to it .

Just dont forget that those cam pics mean almost nothing when that rut heats up.  Those bulls will travel miles looking for love.  You know where you need to go sir so stop avoiding the inevitable  :chuckle:  He's just sitting there year after year waiting for someone to come shoot him :chuckle:
