Thanks Coach! It will be hard to hold out as I tend to get nervous, but with all the scouting I'll be doing, I hope to get my confidence up with the area to know that there are lots of good ones in there.

that tag is worth eatring to find the right bull.
My wife told me that I hunt way more than I did when we first got married. I said yeah I know isn't it great !

My buddy had that tag in 2016 and shot a 360" bull on the 2nd to last day. He was after a bull that was pretty close to the 400 mark but he lived in an absolute HOLE. If you remember, it rained for about a week straight in October that year and the road going up Colockum pass was basically a muddy water slide.

I spend way too much time in the Colockum early in the year shed/turkey hunting, feel free to shoot me a PM and I'll get you headed in the right direction. That's always my 1st choice for quality elk. I've seen at least 3 bulls in those units that would tape out North of 375".

Getting away from the roads and into the lower reaches of the canyons is how you find the big boys back there.
