Idaho elk unit 10/12
« on: July 09, 2018, 07:33:42 PM »
Sup y’all?
Well we didn’t get drawn for our Idaho elk hunt so we have OTC Lolo A tags now. Hunting either unit 10 or 12 not sure which yet or maybe both. Headed over for a scouting mission in the next weekend or two. Just curious if anyone who has experience with these units could at least tell me where to spend more time looking During my scouting trips (have two to make before the season), unit 10 or 12?  Feel free to PM me. Thanks! I know we have our work cut out for us, but if there’s elk in there, we will find em! Thanks again!!

I saw elk in both units this past week. Elk #'s aren't great, but they are there. I'll be hunting 10 this fall. Good luck on your scouting trip.

Buy a wolf tag. Lots of wolves in 10.

And bring a chainsaw with plenty of saw gas. A few weeks ago, I had to cut my way in to where I wanted to go.
