Great looking setup, couple questions.
Who did the cerakoting and are you happy with it?
Did the bottom metal from MT bolt right to the factory tikka stock or did you have to modify?
Thanks
Sawtooth rifles/Matt yore did the cerakote. I thought his price was fair and the turn around reasonable. I would definitely use him again.
The bottom metal bolted right in, but to take full advantage loading them long it required some basic work.

Cool thread thanks for sharing. I have a very similar setup, but no bipod (yet). I have been considering both the javelin and atlas. How do you think an atlas would fit/feel on that rifle? Is weight your only reservation?

Pretty much. Also the atlas is pic rail mount only. It weighs 3x as much but is awesome to shoot off.

Ran a bunch of stuff over the chrono and shot a few loads for groups. I think I've settled on one. Loaded it up to shoot it and distance this week or next.
75.0gr H4381sc. 200gr ELDX. WLR primer. Norma brass. OAL seated at 3.599. 2890FPS.

Will be heading up to spot I can shoot it out to 750-800

Going to resurrect my own thread here. I still have the old girl and she’s been a great companion. I changed very little other than some load data in the last 3 seasons, until now..

I slacked on my shooting all winter in 2019 but finally got back out and after it this spring, but something wasn’t right.. none of my dope was correct. I ran it over the chrono and there it was, I had lost 200fps. Same lot of powder, primers, brass, etc. I was beside myself. I had just bought a heap of tags and had deposits down on a bush flight etc, and my rifle is failing.. I started running a new ladder test, trying to recover my velocity and hope it still groups. I got lucky there, it still shoots about as good as me. I settled on a band aid to get me through the season, right or wrong, someone more knowledgeable than me might comment. 79.7gr vs my previous 75.0 and I had my working load for the season.

I got all the way through this entire thread, thinking this sounds awful familiar  :dunno:
Before I saw your comment on 2019, and looked up and realized it was an add-on to your 2018 thread!  :yike:

Great thread, and worth reading through TWICE because I also thought I was alone in this world  :IBCOOL:

Sorry for the confusion guys, but hope you’re enjoying it none the less.
August saw us in Alaska, a remote bush camp chasing Sitka bucks. On the 2nd morning I noticed my scope level had gotten whacked about 30° off level, I muscled it back into what seemed close, but realized despite everything, a minor equipment issue just reduced my effective range. It ended up not mattering and it put 2 bucks down. I knew I’d need to get back out before Idaho mule deer and check my level, as well as the zero, after the beating it took in the brush and alders. It was summer, nice weather, lots of family activities going on, so naturally I slacked on checking zero until October. Bad move!
