Radsav Service is great!
« on: July 19, 2018, 05:53:44 AM »
I tried some new Rival broadheads and had a minor problem with one of them. Bryan, who lives nearby, came over to the house with a replacement and told me how to fix it. I'm extremely happy with how he responded to the issue and will continue to purchase the peeps, which are great, and my new broadheads! Thanks Radsav!

Never had a single issue with the products but once there was a snafu with the USPS and @RADSav went out of his way to make sure I got the shipment in a timely manner.

Exceedingly generous guy and he's dedicated years of his life to making a dangerously consistent and sharp line of broadheads.
Kindly do not attempt to cloud the issue with too many facts.

Not sure if Pianoman got a bad spring, one got damaged during assembly or maybe there was a chip or pin in a blade slot.  Glad it happened before you stuck it in a critter.  We do our best...sometimes lucky people find that's not always 100% reliable :chuckle:

I've been told I had a bad spring before. Dumped her! Thanks again, Rad.

It does bring up an important point though.  And this can be one to take no matter what brand broadhead a guy purchases.  Always check your blade slots for machine chips (and in our titanium ferrules - small pins) before assembling blades into ferrules.  We run these thin slotting blades really fast.  And we use a high pressure coolant system to blow out those fine chip as do most the other manufacturers too.  But sometimes/for some reason some sneaky little buggers hang on and hide in the bottom of those slots.

While it is not usually a problem even if they are there, it can pose a problem in getting the blades to fully seat into the bottom of the slot.  This leads to uneven pressure on the blade and has the potential to weaken the blades and/or not allow the ferrule to spin correctly.
