From an NRA Email I received yesterday:

Vote "NO" on Initiative 1639
There are only 35 more days until ballots hit mailboxes, and 53 days until the General Election drop boxes close. Your NRA has been crisscrossing the Evergreen state to inform voters about the dangers of Initiative 1639, but we need your help. Below you will find a list of events that are being held throughout the state as well as a list of regional staff you can contact who will get you plugged into our efforts.

While gun control proponents have Seattle elites who spent nearly $4 million just to get Initiative 1639 on the ballot, we have the strength of our grassroots army mobilizing to defeat it.

Don’t let gun control proponents criminalize your right to self-defense. Any amount of time or money you can give will have an impact! DONATE, VOLUNTEER, and VOTE NO ON I-1639 on the November ballot!

Get the facts about I-1639 at www.Initiative1639.org.

A friend and I attended the Sept. 12th workshop in University Place. We  were impressed with all the information they produced from canvasing neighborhoods, call banks and wordage on just how to reach the uninformed, undecided potential voters.

It is up to us to to beat this unconstitutional abomination so we must talk, call, text or email thoses you know and let them know what we are up against.

You would not believe how many gun owners & hunters that are oblivious this is happening!!!

I'd take a few to distribute. I know some people that would display them. I like the one kevinlisa06 displayed.

The NRA representative from NW Washington sent me 4 bumper stickers. Pm me your address and I’ll send you 1 or 2.

The sad part is that many gun owners and hunters do not know this is happening and still refuse to get involved or vote.
If WE do not get these people involved then we have lost

Hey fellow hunters & shooters, I just wanted to shamelessly plug an Anti-1639 fundraiser taking place over at WaGuns.org (in the Pay it Forward section of the forum). It's raffle style - contribute money through the site and you'll be entered into a drawing for several cool prizes, including some firearms.

We need all the money we can to fight this stupid initiative, so it's for a good cause. And who wouldn't mind having the chance to win a new gun in the process?!

Thanks to everyone who has already contributed to the fight. There are many ways to do it, not all of which require money, and they're all critically important to preserving our rights.
I love the smell of gunpowder in the morning.

Keep talking this up. Get the word out. Remind people on this forum, at home, at work, in your neighborhood, when you're out hunting this weekend... VOTE NO on I-1639!
