River Shore
«
on:
October 10, 2018, 05:03:40 PM »
I had adopted River in February from some wonderful people.
I have had a few really good dogs in my 59 years but this girl has been amazing.
Today she had a ultrasound showing a large bleeding tumor in her stomach and the options either way are not good.
We got to hunt pheasant for the first time this fall and this girl is so pleasing to watch she is so beautiful.
She has been a blessing for my depression and made me feel like a new man.
When that day comes it’s going to be heart wrenching for some time.
I wish I had her for the first 8 years.
I love her now! And will miss even more when she’s gone.
She will be hard to live up too!

I just got back from hunting North Dakota , my hunting pardner owns Fountain, he is really good, no nonsense, old school and a heck of a surgeon.

Sad to say that Rivers tumor cannot be removed because of the size and location.
She still has a lot of energy and happiness left in her.
Every time I come home from work and she meets me at the door or the gate.
She will be coming home tonight and we will enjoy the remaining time we will have with her.
As long as her tail wags I will continue love her and enjoy her presence and take a lot more pictures to add to my collection.
I want to thank you guys at Fountain Veterinary clinic for doing all you could to help River.
If I ever get another dog you guys will see me again! Happy Hunting!

Well fiddlesticks, I'd been hoping that they could make it happen for ya. Enjoy the time that's afforded.

God is looking out for River and I as we move on.
River amazingly is great as you can see we did a few birds and we are so happy.
Amen! 😊
