Thanks a bunch to everyone for all the kind comments. There are plenty of folks that may have passed this one up as well, but late in the morning on the last day there wasn't much hesitation. We are kinda on the fence between trophy hunters and meet hunters. If the freezer has meat in it we look for nice ones. If the freezer is running low then even the little ones better look out. For the most part we try to make the quality or once in a lifetime tags count. Thanks again and good luck to all!   Joe
Congrats to your wife on a beautiful buck! Looks like you got the rack with the meat

Congrats to you both!  Persistence creates opportunity!
As long as we have the habitat, we can argue forever about who gets to kill what and when.  No habitat = no game.

Fantastic, great buck!  Getting to hunt the whole season and take a great buck on the last day is about as good as it gets!

Great buck! Let’s see a picture of the buck she shot in 2008 :chuckle:
My wife got a nice one in 2008 and again this year. She hunted all 9 days of the early rifle season. On the morning of day 9 she had given up and was going out to shoot one of the many nice 3 points she had been passing on. As luck would have it, out of no where a couple nice ones showed up. One of them presented a good shot at 304 yards, so she let fly. I guess she felt her husband needed the exercise. Whats really cool, is my buddy had the same tag. I helped him pack out a 31 incher the day before. I don't have his permission to post a pic, but here are a few of my wife's. Good luck to those that are still out there.

not so sure about that. The Indians killed all the big bucks out there a few years back. One got lucky and got past them. :chuckle:. Great buck!
