Is the measurement after the mink has been put up, or before skinning?

Got our first mink of the year yesterday.  24" in the round. Curious what he'll measure when put up.

I saw the paper towels and immediatly thought to my self "good idea, my wife would shoot me if another dead animal found it's way onto her clean kitchen counter..." :chuckle:

She'd already gone to bed. Even this wouldn't have been good enough had she seen.

Looks like an average male?

I've never measured a mink so I am looking forward to this contest.

In tree service work we have a saying, "an inch is as good as a mile!" for tight quarters work around structure like barns sheds fences and homes. No reason we can't say "a hair is as good as a record!"  For trapping :chuckle:
