Quiet stalking pants
ljsommer:
I was looking at Kryptek gear and wondering if anyone has any suggestions for quiet pants. I understand there's always a tradeoff between quiet, water-resistant and tough, but hoping someone has a good suggestion. Current hunting pants are Cabela's and fantastic but a bit baggy and noisy, looking for something slightly less baggy and slightly quieter.

I know there are lots of "new" fabrics out there, but it's pretty hard to beat wool pants. They are very quiet, they are warm even when damp, and you can buy military surplus very affordably or you can go fancier with woolrich or something like that. If wool bothers you, wear long underwear.
Tinmaniac:
Fleece has been my choice for 30 years.Harder to find it these days.I am going to order a pair from Day One.
Oh Mah:
i bought 6 pairs of fleece lined cargo pants at wally world and used them this year during muzzy because it was so cold,no complaints at all.very tough very warm.$25.00 each.
