Much much less turbo lag in towing mode or sport mode. Just drive it in the turbos.   :chuckle:

Love my 2015. Have had it for a year and a half, put 30k miles on it as a daily commuter and we take it anywhere we go. Have had 0 problems with it and love every minute driving it. 3.5l super crew 5.5’ bed xlt

Just curious, how do those Eco Boost turbos hold up to higher miles?

Is there going to be a glut of high mileage Eco Boosts on the market in the future because they are expensive to replace?

Honest question, not trying to bash them at all, just researching the used market.

I have 77k on my 14' and overall I've been pretty impressed with it, especially towing my 30' trailer back and forth to Twisp.  I did have to have the throttle body replaced.  When it throws a code the engine goes into limp mode and you're dead in the water until you turn off the engine and restart it.

How many miles on those failed turbos?

@deerlick
Curious to know what you're seeing. Do you work for a Ford dealer? I see a lot of F150's every day and can't say we've done many turbo replacements at all. Definitely not a lot of cases of both turbos failing at the same time.

We all know a turbo is a wear item.  Seems reasonable to not expect much over 200k max from em.  Pricey repair.  5.0 would be my choice based on that alone.  Of course I drive a cummins with a turbo! :chuckle:  BUT I get to put a bigger one or twins when it goes so yeehaw!
MAGA!  Again..

With the factory turbos at $2800, would after market save money or improve on factory?
