Those pictures of Corey’s buck don’t do it justice... the body and head on that deer are enormous! And not to mention the giant man sitting behind it.

And yes I’m longarming mine in this picture.

I'm still waiting for the MT hunt story........... :dunno:
I'm anti Montana remember

I didn't know, but good thing the story is short. Accompanied plat to MT, looked for bison, found bison, killed bison and packed out bison for my good buddy Plat. :chuckle:
weird I just pulled a hammy   :chuckle:

Thanks all!  It was for sure a great season.  It's funny though how you are never really satisfied.  There's always those few things you wished you'd done differently that would have surely made all the difference  :chuckle:  I guess never being satisfied is what drives a man to continue to learn and work harder.

No off season this winter.  February I head to Kodiak Alaska with my baby brother to try and scrounge up a couple Mountain Goats.  Sure to be a great adventure and a bit on the sporty side  :chuckle:

I am very superstitious about my hats.  You can't just wear any old hat.  I got this hat years ago when my little brother left it in my truck therefore by sibling law it became my property.  Ive killed dozens and dozens of deer wearing old betsy but she's become tired. The problem with an old hat is as it starts to break down it becomes incredibly uncomfortable.  It's not as simple as grabbing a new hat however.  You dont pick a lucky hat, a lucky hat picks you.  Before that happens though, you must end your old hats life on a high point and then ceremoniously burn it in a hunting camp fire. Now I'm left with no lucky deer hunting hat and I feel like part of me is gone. Finding a new lucky deer hunting hat is one of the hardest things you can do in life.
