I wonder what would cause that disease in whitebird and how it got there?  :dunno:

All it takes is for an animal carrying the disease and the right conditions and you have it.  The way people truck goats, sheep, and cattle around it is likely to be everywhere.  This could be isolated or the perfect storm.

Biologists have their hands full this year between this and Antelope Island.

Well you see Wa, Or had to get it out to a dry western state so that big timber couldn’t be blamed for it through spraying. So they loaded up some infected elk and shipped them to Idaho in the dark of night. :tinfoil: 🤯

I guess we can throw in hydatid cyst and prions in there also.   :yike:

Is it a conspiracy theory involving the Wilks brothers?

Yes.  Absolutely.

I heard that corn ponds are causing hoof rot as the elk have to stand in the mud late winter when they eat up the rest of the corn.  Pretty much proven at this point if you ask me.

Yeah it's definitely not good and I had no clue about it until I seen the article in my facebook feed today.

I sure hope IDFG is going to take it seriously and go balls to the wall to get right down to the cause, and try to eliminate the spread of it.

The only good that can come from this is if it spreads a similar disease to wolfs.
