Muskrat trap question
« on: February 12, 2019, 10:37:37 AM »
I am making some new muskrat traps and was wondering about wire gauge and hole size.  There is a lot of different size wire so looking for tips.  1x1, 1x2, etc.  The most common I am seeing is 16 gauge welded wire with half inch x half inch holes. Thoughts??

I would get 14 gauge 1x2 welded before galvanized. You should be able to get that at a feed and farm store.

That is what i use and you can even get it on Amazon. However, I advocate supporting local business.
