20' Stryker add a battery kit
« on: February 14, 2019, 08:32:12 AM »
Just received the kit. Need some ideas on where to mount it. Was thinking on the back transom. Lots of room to mount, easy access it's not. Thanks  ;)

I would pick an area that I can get to and is as high up as possible to keep as dry as possible.  Also, if you don't have an onboard battery charger, it would be a good time to add one.  It was one of my better decisions, it's nice to simply plug the boat in and know both batteries are taken care of all year.

I've always had tiller sleds and placed batteries based on balance.

That one looks like it wants to go in the area directly infront of motors with an onboard charger.
