poll on what grain bullet you use for elk.

I just wanted to put this poll out to see what people are using most often for their elk hunting bullets.Why you use them would be a bonus.  :tup:

I use 200 and my wife uses 130, which there is no option for.

168 because it shot far better than 180 in my rifle.

Haven’t hunted elk with a rifle for a few years but when I do again it will be with 215 Berger’s

105 in the 6mm

6mm is not a a legal elk bullet.

THIS HAS ALREADY BEEN SHOWN WRONG THE 6MM BULLET IS ACTUALLY .243 NOT 6MM WHICH IS .236 IN.. SO SKIP THIS.

I'm not understanding why 6mm is not a legal elk round. Wouldn't that be like a 243 which would fall in the legal caliber minimum requirements for big game hunting.

ok i guess the 6mm bullet is bigger than the actual measurement of 6mm.  :tup:

6mm is .236 in diameter.

I'm trying out some sledge hammers in 255 at the moment, that i think i like. Usually i shoot 250 grain partitions.
