NRA is in trouble

NRA is in trouble.  They need our help or the Liberals will win and you will loose your gun rights.

I would be more than happy to rejoin on one condition. Quit filling my mailbox with letters asking for more money. In my opinion , for as much junk mail I received from them that out priced my dues. I thought my membership was to help fund legal battles not postage and letters asking for more.

I feel your pain. I bought the lifetime membership because of this and said no more calls or mail ever and they have honored that. Worked for me and I want to support the nra I just couldn’t take the endless mail and phone calls.

I think they've been on the brink for a while, they are a moot point in this state anyways, so when i joined as a youth life member and transitioned to an adult, only things that changed was magazine subscription, and all the spam calls/mail. Got one the other day. I would almost think of helping them out, but when they say "if this law passes we won't even bother fighting it", sorry, you've lost any added financial support I may have given you, because apparently my rights aren't worth your time....

On top of it the candidate they endorsed in the last election is the first president in 20years to enact gun control measures. Trumps ban on bump stocks didn’t even get a peep from the NRA.

Agree 100% with this. They got too darn greedy and it drove me away. I believe in what they stand for but the soliciting was out of control and ultimately caused me to let my membership lapse.

I hope you guys that gave up on the NRA are doing something to help preserve our 2A rights. All the other groups send out copious amounts of dire fundraising requests also. It is a business model that works. It might be annoying to get requests for money, but having to use your guns to preserve your rights will not be a pleasant experience.
I am a benefactor member. I contribute a couple hundred a couple times a year. I just ignore the other requests. I made up my mind that I wasn’t going to let the fundraising bother me.
This is serious. If you just whine about it and don’t contribute at all, maybe you deserve to lose your rights.
There is the 2nd Amendment foundation. Gun owners of America, National Association for gun rights, and others. Please help out!

Yea not buying it.

They get plenty of funds from ranges that require membership and if needed those members could pay with checks.

I'm not giving them a dollar and in fact I won't do the NRA round-up when shopping online.

They are basically abandoning West coast states. Their response to 1639 was pitiful. It's actually a Bellevue group that is challenging it in court.

Their current president is terrible at strategy and doesn't get what drives the anti-gun mentality.

And add to that the phone calls.  When I was a member I would get a call or two a week.
