Went up and climbed it last Saturday morning, pretty spectacular mountain!

Cause... I'm crazy! No in actuality, two brothers of mine have down some climbing a while back and I really wanted to pursue that goal too. It's a great motivator for fitness, and probably the most challenging thing out there. It definitely is a humbling experience to be pushed to your absolute limit at the top of the world!

Someday I hope to summit all the major cascade peaks... but that may take a while!

Nice Job!  Probably my favorite Cascade Volcano climb.  How were the Pearly Gates?

They were great! I really like that part. Sketchy, but if you took your time kicking in steps and getting a good purchase with your ice ax it wasn't difficult. I didn't take time to take any pictures there because we moved through it quickly. The snow conditions were really hard packed at the last part of the pearlies which made it harder to kick in steps. We were some of the first to summit that day so we were had to help make the boot path.
