SOOO fricken bummed.  I have bear baited this same area since 2012.  Taken or helped take 6 nice bears from this area.  Looks like I am going to have to pull the baits, tree stands and cameras in the next couple of days.  They are staging logging equipment just south of the baits.   :'( :'( :'(   It'll be years before it's any good, long after I am done hunting.

Won't be able to log the whole mountain, look close by for similar areas! Maybe ask the loggers for a unit map to figure out where the boundaries are.

It's a unique area, I have a couple of areas not too far away to move to, just these two spots have been very special and very productive.

Yeah a bummer for sure. Hope you can pull that big boy out first before the trees come down!

Maybe try a 3d deer target as bait.  Got home tonight to find a bear ate one of mine while i was at work. Middle of the damn day walked into my back yard and had his way with all my targets, but really only went to town on one of them.

Went up to top up one of my baits on Saturday and found they have already started logging.  So went in yesterday and moved one of my baits out of the logging area.  Started off a bit rough, while pulling my cellular trail camera my foot slipped off one of the steps on my ladder stick and down I came, catching the top step with my stomach and hitting the ground nice and hard.  I got a nice tennis ball sized rasberry on my stomach.  Got the bait moved over to a new spot and bam got hammered hard the first night. Only bad thing about this spot is my cell coverage is spotty.  I did not get any photos of the bear on the bait, just the aftermath.  He hit sometime between midnight and 0500 this morning.  The other bait that was getting hit every day has gone cold for the past 4 days.  Not sure where he went.
