Tents?
« on: May 25, 2019, 08:29:27 PM »
Doing an alpine blacktail hunt this year, early September and need a tent. Looking for some suggestions for a decent tent that won’t break the bank, but isn’t going to fall apart after one week. Trying to keep it sub $200, and willing to look used as well. 2 man is preferred as I like a little extra room and I usually keep my pack in my tent.

I love the REI half dome. Great bang for the buck. I have the plus and it’s a castle.

" In today's instant gratification society, more and more pressure revolves around success and the measurement of one's prowess as a hunter by inches on a score chart or field photos produced on social media. Don't fall into the trap. Hunting is-and always will be- about the hunt, the adventure, the views, and time spent with close friends and family. " Ryan Hatfield

When I pass, do not let my wife sell the guns for what I told her they cost.

I had been using an rei half dome plus for about 15 years and never had a problem with it.  Only reason I switched 3 years ago to a seek outside is for more room and the ability to run a stove.
