I don’t know the prediction but my daughter counts fish at Rocky Reach and said they are just starting to see a few.

According to the north of falcon prediction 74.5k
https://wdfw.wa.gov/sites/default/files/fishing/north-of-falcon/2019/2019_chum_pink_sockeye_forecasts.pdf

Also on that page, a little over 15k into Lake Washington. There needs to be 350k to open.
My interpretation of the rules are open to interpretation.

one good thing about sockeye is its hard to get a accurate preseason estimate example was last year way more fish showed up than predicted

I am hoping to fish Brewster for Sockeye and or Chinook again this year in July.  It has become an annual event and the years that they allow us to keep several sockeye are a ton of fun.

The Columbia River TAC pre-season forecast calls for 74,500 Sockeye to the Okanogan, and only 35,900 Upper Columbia Summer Chinook. Based on these forecasts, both Sockeye and Summer Chinook will be most likely be closed for the entire Columbia. The Summer Chinook decision has already been made, despite what the current regulations say. Expect and E reg to show up any day now. I believe the escapement needed for the Okanogan is around 45,000, so we might have a chance at a short, limited season. All that being said, once the Summer Chinook get above the Snake, and the counts and composition (hatchery% vs wild %) are known, we could see a bubble fishery above Rocky Reach Dam. There are 4 large hatchery Summer Chinook programs above RR Dam, and there should be an effort to remove some of the excess hatchery fish. Much depends on how many Summer Chinook make it through the zone 6 treaty net fishery. My guess would be that if they allow a Summer Chinook and / or a Sockeye fishery, it would be later in July.
