Seems to be coming along good, speeds are definitely up there for the heavies. I would like to have one of the Labradars too, hopefully here in the future I'll buy one. I'm still using the old style Caldwell chrono which shows 1 of 3 shots  :bash:

This may or may not interest you but thought I'd pass it along anyway, Hornady is coming out with a new 390gr .375 Cal A-Tip bullet.  Per Hornady G1 .987  G7 .497

If your having misfires with CCI 250’s you most likely have something wrong with your ignition in the bolt.  I would first check firing pin fall.  Pretty easy to do.  You want to me at least .240”.  I have seen this happen with certain triggers and the action not being timed.  It does effect accuracy as well.

at .046 firing pin protrusion.   Having the misfires in my 300wm aswell so I don’t think it’s the rifle.   Both bad lots came from same store so I’m wondering if it’s a storage issue. Never had a problem with cci primers ever.

It’s how much it falls measuring from the bolt head.  Not how much it sticks out of the bolt face.  It’s how much slam the firing pin has against the primer.  Timney are known for this.  Except the elite.

Neither have a timmeny trigger.   The 300 wm has punched 1047 cci primers with out an issue till these 2 cases has never had a hiccup

Don't be a wimp, pull the brake and shoot it like a man to get your velocities. :chuckle:

I've never run my 338 CT pistol over a chronograph for the same reason. I got my muzzle velocity by zeroing at 100 with a know bullet then measuring drops out to 600 yards. It's a pain, but it's been close enough to get me on target to 1800 yards within 2 shots.

I’ll probably shoot it with out the brake for speeds. Then verify at range. I know the brake can affect speed but how much idk.   Figure it’s better than paying $150 for the adapter.  That’s another box of bullets.

I’ll see if I can get some kind of adapter made for the Magneto. The member formerly known as Jay_sharkbait owes me some work so I’ll get him to design and 3D print something to try out.

Well I shot it with out the brake. Not bad at all really.  I’m at 2945 without the brake.  Screwed on the brake, held 14.5 moa high and nailed the 735 yard plate.  I’m thinking I’m pretty close with speed but got plenty of room for more powder.  Hopefully I’ll get more time this next week to play with it.

Got around to testing the flatlines today.  I’m at just over 1/2” at 100 and 3029 FPS with out the brake.  Still playing with seating depth.
