I shot probably 1500 rounds of 140s through my 7 with IMR4350. They were screaming out at like 3250.

Lately been shooting retumbo and 162 eld x but accuracy hasnít been great.

Iíd say powder choice depends on bullet weight.
Wow, that's what im talking about. Would you be willing to share how much powder you were using to get 3250? The Berger manual I have shows 3078 at 62 grains.
Please donít copy it   :chuckle: but I was somewhere up around 65. I had 100 pieces of brass and when I finally threw it all away I could count 12+ plunger marks on the head... oh to be young and no know what I was doing again.  :yike:
hold up!!!! So you're saying that's not how you keep track of the number of firings on your brass?!?!?! Ooops :chuckle:
They were just getting broke in

H1000-160 grain bullet
4831 works well also kinda old school.

H1000 -160 grain bullet- 70 grains of powder
4831-160 grain bullet - 65 grains of powder
Loads are over max , But puts you right at 3000 fps

Just a question why are you useing a 140 grain bullet.
I tried lighter bullets didn't have good results and went back to 160.depends on your twist.how fast your gonna push a 140, you May have good luck with 140 :dunno:
Most 7mm mag do well with a 160 grain or higher a lot of people use 140 in 7/08 and such.
Two birds in the Bush is always better than one in the hand-that way you can always go to the Bush and hunt another day .conservation=Better hunting.

Thanks. I have the berger 140s and some sierra 160s. Just wanted to see what shoots best out of it.

Perfect timing for this thread popping up. I picked up a 7mm from a member here and was getting ready to see what shoots out of it, besides the factory stuff he gave me.

I am running IMR 4831 with 160 accubonds. Took the recipe right out of the Nosler manual. Great accuracy. I haven't hunt with the load yet.

Same here. Been pleased as punch with my IMR4831 load and 154 Interbonds. It certainly kills things, and has been consistently accurate for me to 600 yards.

As many on here have stated, IMR 4350 is a good choice and I have had good luck with it.  Even better in my rifle (M70 Laredo LRH 26" with 0.8" bull barrel)  has been IMR 7828 SC   :twocents:
Duck Buster
Mule Deer Hunter
Turkey Camp Cook
