Withrow whitetails
« on: July 16, 2019, 04:37:21 PM »
I've been hunting some private land in the withrow unit for a few years and have pulled some mule deer out.  I had always hunted SW Washington blacktails around home.  I know some will dissagee but the mule deer taste WAY better.  I've heard that whitetails are even better.  My question is are there whitetails in the withrow?  I see it's open for whitetail any buck.  I've never seen one though. :dunno:

Your more likely to see an antelope than an whitetail in Withrow...

I've seen whitetails - rarely - in the northwest corner just south of Central Ferry Canyon (GMU 260).  I've also seen them south of Withrow in the Badger GMU 266.
As long as we have the habitat, we can argue forever about who gets to kill what and when.  No habitat = no game.
