Roger. Ty. Think I'll give it a go. Standard pink hoochie on one side, run the white coyote killer above the flasher opposite side....see what happens.

My guess is you will catch a big pile of pinks.   :chuckle:

Anyone doing well in area 7? Want to head out this weekend with some family and get some newbies on some pinks.

I spent 5 days out at Neah Bay last week with Searun and the Pink fishing was odd...
Day 1:  90% pinks
Day 2: 75% pinks
Day 3: 20% pinks
Day 4: 10% pinks
Day 5: 25% pinks

Regardless the fishing was spectacular for Coho.   Saw seals, sealions, sea otters, porpoise, and humpbacks were everywhere.  One blue shark was sighted and even caught 3 mackerel.

How hard was it to find clipped coho?

I'd say we were picking up one clipped for every 6 or 7 wild.

Just be warned that you'll probably have to mess with your spacing a bit.  You'll have some tangles.  Go slow letting it down or other things that could cause the flasher/lure lines to get crossed up.

Or, maybe you're better than me and will have no issues!  It sure is nice to fight the fish with no flasher.

You don't need the flasher, just use the spoon.  Put a flasher/hoochie on the other downrigger and set them at them same depth.  Set the spoon farther back from the boat than the hoochie so they reach it first.

Looks like you are right. I didn't see the Bellingham Bay season at first glance.
